The family owned company Vipp - known for its pedal bin designed by its founder Holger Nielsen in 1939 - has greatly diversified its product range over the past 15 years. 

We proposed Vipp to design a durable and functional stool, true to the brand’s DNA. 

A stool is a multipurpose object that is regularly being moved, stacked and stored. 

“Stool 1020” is the result of reflection on the grasping comfort and haptic perception offered to the user during handling. 

Easily lifted with one hand and comfortably transported from room to room, it can be stacked over and over with only muffled sound. 

Its lightweight aluminum structure makes these daily operations easy while ensuring its overall sturdiness and longevity.
